Michelle Bremer, New Zealand

In 2009 Michelle again won her age group at the national long course champs and went on to race at the world long distance champs, placing 2nd in her age group. Juggling the sport of triathlon racing and training whilst working full time as a sports physiotherapist was a busy lifestyle, and in 2010 Michelle took a month off work to travel to the States to compete in 2x 70.3 races. The experience of racing overseas gave her the desire to one day compete professionally. In August 2011 Michelle made the move to leave her job and start training full time, and entered her first full Ironman race- Western Australia of which she won in a time of 9:25.

2012 will be Michelle’ Michelle Bremer -Bike s first full season training/competing professionally, and she is headed to the States to base herself in Santa Monica with Team Sirius to focus on 70.3 racing and the Rev3 triathlon series.
